Why A Full Virus Scan Is Essential
Author: Bayne Schulstad

In order to safeguard your personal computer from viruses and other parasites it's important to run a full virus scan at regular intervals. Undertaking this procedure daily will help keep your computer clean and ensure its safe operation. It can also keep your identity safe from hackers, and allow you to surf the web safely. Some programs can even keep viruses from coming into your machine at later dates as well.

Running a full virus scan daily will take care of anything that may get in your system. These programs are like actual bugs in real life. No matter how many you kill or what precautions you take there is always that one that gets through. For every one that does make it into your system chances are there are about 100 that didn't.

Virus's usually work in tandem with other malicious software to compromise a computer. Once the defences are down spyware and adware come in. Then your identity information is stolen and your internet searches are monitored. Not something you want to have to deal with on any occasion.

Netbooks vs. Tablets
Author: Jurgen

Notebook computers and tablet PCs are two very different beasts that both live in the same jungle. Each sort of machine aims for a similar set of goals: ultimate portability and ultimate connectivity. These machines let users hold the whole world in their hands – so long as there is free wifi nearby. But do both machines have an equal footing in the computer industry? Will both be around in five years? To answer this, we need to think about what each machine does, and what each is best used for.

Netbooks are basically miniature laptops. They offer fold-out “clamshell” designs with a keboard at the bottom and a screen at the top. Long battery life, slim profiles, and antennas for every sort of wireless signal available ensure their portability. Their design is familiar, and the only thing that new users need to get accustomed to is their mini keyboards and small screens.

Sony Ericsson Idou confirmed for release in October
by Matt Sharp

News has cropped up online that the highly anticipated Sony Ericsson Idou has finally been given a release date, in October. Let's take a look forward and see what competition this super-phone is going to face.

Sony Ericsson Idou - 12 megapixels of pure power

It's fair to say that the Sony Ericsson Idou is easily one of the most hotly anticipated phones of the year. On the face of it, the big reason for the excitement is its 12 megapixel camera, and whilst that is a force to be reckoned with, there's so much more to the Sony Ericsson Idou. It's the first 'Entertainment Unlimited' phone, and that doesn't just mean it combines Cyber-Shot and Walkman technology. On top of that, the Sony Ericsson Idou is also going to pull in social networking, high quality games and incredible video services to become a one-stop mobile entertainment hub. It promises far more than that, however, as the Sony Ericsson Idou is also powered by Symbian, giving it true smartphone capabilities, which will no doubt include its very own app store.

But it's a long time until October. Let's see what rivals the Sony Ericsson Idou will have to face down.
